Guide Services Include:

Years of experience using and testing gear, we have high quality, durable and dependable equipment. Along with the gear we provide assistance, training, and tips on how to use and make the most of each item of gear used on out trips. Special emphasis is placed on water safety; including river rescue, river reading, paddle strokes, and canoe packing. The North Maine Woods are spectacular, we will provide you with the skills, equipment and access to get the most out of your wilderness experience.

  • Canoes, Paddles, PFDs, Tents, Tarps, Maps, Cooking, Kitchen, and Camp Gear. Our canoes are a mix of wood strip canoes built by Tim and Dave, and Old Town Discovery boats. We make paddles too!
  • Fine camp meals catered to your menu desires. Many of our meals are cooked right over the fire on a griddle or using a dutch oven. We take pride in our ability to satisfy your hungry appitite with fine gourmet camp fare after a good day on the water!
  • Transportation from Portland Maine to the Put-ins and from the take-outs back to Portland.
  • In the wilderness first aid can be critical. David completed the SOLO Wilderness First Aid course. Tim completed the Wilderness Medical Associates Advanced Wilderness First Aid course.

With the Appalachian Trail running from the New Hampshire border, through the Mahoosucs over the Bigelows and in the hundred mile wilderness and finally to Mount Katadhin, we can find the Maine path for your special hiking adventure. Let us help with all the logistics you might require. There are hundreds of wonderful trails to explore for one day or ten. We can put together Maine memories that will last a lifetime.
